Hawaii Day 1

We woke up at 4am and 5:35am (Ryan and I). Ate some breakfast and by 8 am we in the car ready to sightsee. We drove to Camp Smith where Chad works and saw the view of Pearl Harbor. It was beautiful. Then we drove down to Ford Island and saw the floating golf ball and the USS Utah Memorial. We then drove to the Aloha stadium swap meet and saw and bought lots of goodies at the Flea Markets. We shopped for about an hour and got so many gifts to bring home.

We went back to chads apartment in Waipahu, ate lunch and then went to Ewa Beach. It was so windy that we would get pelted with sand when a gust came by. We saw the craziest pink poodle and another little dog that was dyed print and blue.  We swam but the coral was pretty bad. I got cut on my thigh and Ryan on his foot. It was warm out and the water was a little cool when first going in but you got used to it right away.  We stayed for a few hours then went back to chads to shower and get ready for dinner.

For dinner we headed into Waikiki and walked the shopping area. So much busier down there! I got some more Hello Kitty stuff (she's everywhere here!) then we ate dinner at Chucks cellar. It was SO good. I got Mahi mahi and chad and Ryan got prime rib and scallops.
We stopped for a drink at Yard House then headed back home. It gets a little chilly at night. Like need a sweatshirt chilly, not a coat. It's been about 80 for the high too. It's very very temperate, not hot or cold. I love it. My hair dries really fast too.

We got a lot done in our first day!
