TOP and art festival

Here is Linus new pack. We are using it as a way to get some energy out of linus. Give her a job. Maybe then she will calm down alittle.


Today we went to the taste of philadelphia. It was pretty warm and sunny. Audrey turned bright red as soon as we got there- i thought she was burnt but i think she was overheated.


We met up with some friends of ryan from home, they live in philly now. I didnt take any pictures of them- BUT we went to a bar- Audreys first bar trip- here she is. dont worry she just had lemon water.

On the way home from philadelphia we stopped in Manyunk and went to an arts festival. it was very cool, over 300 10x10 tents set up with people selling their junk :)

we got some pizza and then when we got back to our car found a little present- a parking ticket! has anyone ever gotten out of a parking in a bus zone????

Birthday Party

This weekend was Audreys first birthday party. Ryan thinks I had more fun that she did- I'll admit it was alot of fun to decorate everything with Hello Kitty and find cute 1 things for the party. But I think she enjoyed herself too. After opening her many toys with packaging that is way overdone I realized how much I enjoy buying things second hand. no packaging to add to the landfills and I am reusing a toy that would have otherwise gone to a landfill. Its a win-win. But I do love all the stuff she got. and so does she- she has been playing with her little people much more than I thought she would yet.

Audrey is one years old today!!! its been a crazy fast year. She has a huge party planned for this weekend- i'll be sure to post the pictures of that.

Here is the master bath

this is the view from the room, there is a standup shower to the right and a closet behind the door. We redid this bathroom when we moved in. There was carpet and a blue toliet and blue tile around the shower and vanity. We replaced everything.

This is one of the readings from our wedding, its framed in our bathroom.


This is the spare bathroom, its pretty much Audreys bathroom right now and for guests. Its hello kitty themed as well.

This is the tub with audreys toys. She most recently started taking baths in the big tub. dont you love the shower curtain?

crazy productive

We got so much accomplished this weekend.

We built a vegetable garden from scratch (pictures below)
We dug up the side of our house and put mulch down
I planted 9 tomato plants, squash, cucumbers, and green beans
I planted petunias
Weed eated and mowed the lawn
Washed the tractor and both cars
Scrubed the spare bathroom
Went to the pool
Went on 2 walks
Put up some ikea storage units
I worked on my painting
Watched 2 movies (slumdog millionare and Transporter 2)

Show us where you live: Nursery

This week from Kellys Korner Blog is nursery/childrens rooms. How Fun!
This is the view from the door. There is a bed to the left for visitors and Audreys crib in the corner, recently moved away from the wall/window, because Audrey started standing and looking through the blinds. Above her crib is a dream catcher, I'm hoping that she doesn't get the same nightmares I get. Her closet is to the left of the photo.

This is her closet full of clothes, the totes are full of clothes she has outgrown, luckily there is a new baby girl cousin coming that can rewear them all.

Here is another shot of the crib, bookshelf, and audrey talking on her hello kitty telephone. She has the Hello Kitty crib set from target. We just recently took down the mobile as well. I think Audrey would have ripped it down if we hadnt

This is the wall hanging I painted for Audrey. Above it is her hello kitty doll shelf, on the end in the fish I painted in Mexico for her.

This is the shot of the bed, that some vistors sleep in, when the other guest rooms are full. Audrey is a pretty sound sleeper, but she will tell sleeping guests her 'stories' at 6am. Above her bed is a picture of Audrey Hepburn. Her Auntie B got that for her. I just love Audrey Hepburn, hence her name.

This is Audreys changing table, above it is a painting, shown below in more detail and a frame that I got to put her hand print in. She didnt quite cooperate with me and it kind of looks like her fist. cute though.

I bought this frame from a barn sale, its a painting from a 3rd grader. I really liked the frame and was going to put something else in it. But when I got it home I really thought the picture worked in Audreys room.
