Weekend

Losing one hour sucks...But I am liking the daylight much later into the evening. Yesterday it was 70 degrees here...almost shorts weather, but i definately was in a tshirt only outside and was hot. And to think monday was my snow day. crazy weather. Cath and I went to the best baby junk sale on saturday morning. We got almost everything on our list. Lots of adorable clothes for audrey for this summer and some for next summer. She got 4 new bathing suits...now we have to go to the beach/pool ALOT this summer to get some use out of them. the best one we got was a purple hello kitty one, with a sarong. that one is for next summer though. Got her some new toys and a backpack so we can go hiking with her, so now we wont have to leave her in the car....kidding of course....And we got her a sun bonnet and sunglasses...she is ready for some summer i think! It was a fun weekend! It was so nice not to have to go to the baby junk sale alone.

Survivor Update #4

oooh Becky is gone already...and forever I should officially record...I'm sure someone will gladly fill her spot next time. i'm glad this time that one tribe didnt win immunity. luckily for Taj and Brendan, Sierra picked Taj- or their whole plan could have blown up. how do you not have time in 3 days to talk to a person? seems alittle unlikely- its not like they do anything.

SNOW DAY!!

Audrey had a snow day today!! So I ran into work to get my laptop and have been working from home today. I took a little break to take audrey out in the snow. Bundled her up in her sleeping bag and winter coat. needless to say she HATED it. she couldnt move she was so bundled up and she got very frustrated. then i sat her on the snow and she fell over onto her back. she got really mad. here is my munchkin in the snow :) you cant help but laugh at her.

Philly Car Show

Last weekend we went to the philly auto show. it was a fun adventure- we took the train down into the city...audreys first train ride. She was great all day...especially since she was getting very very sick. We saw all my future cars...i sat in a volkswagen convertible, a mercedes looking land rover, a range rover, a scion xb, a mini cooper, a smart car, a porsche, and a prius...oh and many many others...but those are the ones i really would want. I will need a very big garage thats for sure.

Saturday night and Sunday morning Audrey started to get very sick...she wouldnt eat, she felt warm, she wasnt her usual chipper self. BUTTTTT we took her out to an irish pub/resturant anyways to meet my friends and their new baby. We were there all of 10 minutes and audrey puked all over ryan and the floor. and it wasnt spit up- it was puke. it was awful. Ryan had just gotten his guiness when this happened too. so he had to chugg it and we left. hopefully their daughter didnt get sick. Audrey had a stomach bug, a cold, and an ear infection. I took her to the doctor monday and she is back on antibotics. Shes finally back to her old happy self again...here she is in her pooh nightgown

audrey wants a different bottle

Audrey has been not eating her formula like she used to...at first i thought it was the additional food we are giving her- but now i think she wants dads bottle instead of her own. Here is the proof:

I got my hair highlighted again yesterday...i now have blonde and red streaks in my hair...i love it.

Audrey has been making this new face and I was trying to capture it this morning...i'm not sure if I completely got it, but I thought they were still cute.

new couch

we went shopping this weekend for a new couch. we gave becky back her futon and figured we should buy a new couch for the living room. we got a sofa bed. Here is a picture of it. we have since covered it with some sheets so that murphy and the poms wont get it all gross. we may rearrange the room, but for now it works.

I also had to order the last two books in the twilight series and needed to buy a few more dollars worth of books to get the free shipping. so i remembered there were kids books about "Emily Brown" that i HAD to get. its actually a pretty good book. ryan was making fun of me for getting it. but i think he is just jealous that no books are written about him.

loving the cold weather!

the ground has FINALLY frozen in PA. And i am loving it!! people at work are complaining and complaining...almost as much as those syracuse people are :) ha ha ha. I'm telling you you'd miss it if you didnt get it.

i've been very busy at work lately...havent had any time to blog...plus not too much is happening. I've upped my gym visits to 3x a week. I've been sore 5 of the last 9 days :( but its good i guess. this saturday i am starting weight watchers...again... they have commericials showing a new program. hopefully it can get me motivated again. I have to lose some weight before mexico.
















Audrey is growing like crazy...talking...scooting on the floor...sitting up on her own...drinking juice...found her tongue...her first word is officially da da da...then ba ba ba...i'm still trying her to get her M but nothing yet. she has started to push away from me too- i'm afriad her cuddling days are almost over. she wants to get down and see the dog hair :)

a while

wow i havent posted in a while... well i was on a New york state tour for the past 10 days...i'm finally home and i slept like a baby for 11 hours last night :) i brought my rain cd and cd player along with me, but it didnt seem to help my sleeping. i guess its your own bed that makes all the difference. i just finished unpacking all our christmas presents. i feel awful because christmas morning was such a blur to me know i cant remember who got me/audrey what. but i love everything! i cant believe all a 6 month old could possibly get. people from my work, ryans work, all the family, and friends got her stuff. she has way too much now :) luckily some of it is for when she is older though. she absolutly loved her curious george doll she got and is so cute everytime she sees it she grabs and like hugs him with a little squeal. she found her voice on the trip too. she usually would talk and sing and 'tell stories' only in the morning. now it seems all the time and she definately is saying words, like 'dadadadada' and 'bababababa' i dont think she knows what they mean but i think officially her first word is 'dada'. i'm still working on mama.
New years was fun...besides a debate i got into with bird on affirmative action it went smoothly...no puking...only a slight hangover, which is probably due to all the drinking i did last week- it built my tolerance back up. i think my news years resolution to be to cut down on the sauce.
today i unpacked and made a bunch of baby food for audrey, tomorrow i am going to tackle the christmas decorations. i'm glad we came back with a few days to spare. i needed it.

Crazy hail storm

Last night when I got home I pulled into the driveway and saw 3 of the garage windows busted out. My immediate thought was we must have gotten some hail that broke the windows...strange it was only on one door- then I saw ryan in the garage- i jump out of the car in the pouring icey rain, and ask him what happened?!?!. And he proceeds to tell me he was backing up into the driveway...and hit the garage door!

Survivor: Gabon Finale

Hope wins!!! Good thing you havent paid yet- i will just send you the winnings, minus yours! Every year I get mad at the finale...every year... sugar just blew it at the jury just like amanda did TWICE. its so annoying. She answered questions like "i dont even care if I am here...I'm not even saying give me the money." Bob almost lost his too, some of his answers i was like 'what?'- I think sugar should have told susie, matty, and bob to just vote her out in the last tribal council instead of making matty and bob do the fire challenge. Atleast Matty would have put up a fight at the jury. Oh i just dont get it. and to think, if susie had just answered yes to corrine she would have a million dollars right now.

Santa

tonight is the survivor finale!! I'll be updating tomorrow so if anyone doesnt watch it- don't check my blog.

Today we went to the mall to take Audrey to get her picture with santa. We showed up 30 minutes before santa was even there- hoping for the line to be short. There were ALOT of people already lined up. It took us about 45 minutes to get through. I thought audrey was going to be crabby by the time we got up there...but of course she was smiling so good for the camera! Here is her picture, even the people in front of us made comments like 'oh she knew exactly what to do when she saw the camera' i guess i am to blame for that :)

Survivor Update #11

That was a good one! I was pretty happy about this episode...not just for the fact that Matty is still in the game, but i do not like kenny AT ALL...he is soooo creepy and weird and all his scenes he looks so uncomfortable that he makes you uncomfortable...and then crystal- she just seemed kind of dumb. I will be glad to see what Kenny does when he gets back to camp. I also feel bad for crystal to have to go to ponderosa with the 4 members of the jury...that wont be fun for her. i cant believe this is almost over...which reminds me that noone has paid yet... well actually Becky, Cath and Mike have paid. And I think nicole owes me for 3 past seasons as well....so everyone needs to pay up by sunday!

so many cookies got so made this weekend...
I cant even believe how many cookies that so few people could possibly make... it was alot of fun though! my stomach hurt from laughing so much. we played trivial pursuit again but there was no real winner. we split the old people with the young people to give everyone a fair shot. we even added an all play to game hoping to speed it, but it didnt seem to work.













Now I get to rest until christmas...unlike the rest of the family that is going to moving into new houses for the next two weeks! good luck to you all!

its been a crazy week...so much went on. becky came to visit on saturday. we went out to dinner at the blue dog pub. very good cheesesteaks. Then sunday we went and got her tires changed (very shady) then we went and watch 15 minutes of ryans flag football game. he scored a touchdown while we were there :) they ended up losing though. over for the winter.
nothing exciting monday, worked, yoga, TV...

Tuesday cath and mike came down- and i made some meatball soup.

Wednesday i had the day off!!! fun fun. we cooked and cleaned the house. and rick and yvonne arrived. we were suppose to go out to check out some local bars but we never made it. i dont think we stayed up past 11 at all this week, lame.

Thursday was thanksgiving - so yummy.

Friday we left our house at 3:49am and shopped until 9 am! i got 90% of my xmas shopping done- got amazing deals. it was the most successful black friday shopping i have ever experienced! it was great and i got into no fights. then we went out to a nice diner for breakfast, then becky left for NYC. we played trivial pursuit "the 80s" and ryan and I won by a landslide!!! i think its my favorite trivial pursuit, they have a care bear for one of the players. i love it.

saturday the boys went up to a park where ryan is going to hunt and the girls went to IKEA. we ended the night with some poker...that was alot of fun

This had to be the funniest show (tribal council) EVER. I was peeing my pants when crystal was YELLING her vote...I still chuckle when I think about it. and what they did to randy will go down in the books! tooo tooo funny! I was so glad to see randy go, and I'm sure he will be very interesting at the jury. How dumb was kenny? he had way over $500 and never even bought anything in the auction???

Cancun!!

so we just booked our vacation for mexico next year!!!! i'm sooooo excited! the only bad part is it will take up 5 of my 10 vacation days...well worth it though. All the frozen margaritas i could ask for...a swim up bar...the ocean. (i'm blocking the fact that iguanas live in mexico) hopefully I wont have to get an upclose experience with one.

we went to albany to visit new baby timmy- who was born just 5 days before audrey. He seems to be much farther along in the world though- eating 3 meals a day, using his exerciser, he has rolled over...audrey is still a little munchkin, she can kick though :) i liked this picture since it looks like she is trying to kicking timmy in the face. we had alot of fun- we went to the saratoga battlefield historic park and walked around. We saw lots of deer and they didnt even run from us. I also got 3 stamps for my national park passport book. sat night we stayed in and played parchessi, i havent played it in forever- keith and nicole are experts with strategies and everything and somehow i won twice. so that was fun of course.

its only tuesday...

for some reason this week has been really long already...and it just started.
halloween was fun- here is the puppy/baby picture from friday night. they all did so good- we walked them before the picture so that they would be calm- however we forgot that they will be panting- so the puppies dont look that cute in the pictures, they just look thirsty!

we only got 14 trick or treaters, i was very disappointed...

saturday we decided to drive up the delaware river to do some leaf peeping...we went to a couple of garage sales along the way, ate lunch in a cute little jersey town, and stopped at an apple festival. we got a nice bookshelf at a garage sale and a nice frame. We got stuck in some traffic along the way and we were behind a child molester van filled to the brim with what looked like trash to me. then after following the van for probably 10 minutes in stop and go traffic someone started moving around in the back of it. some mexican guy was in the van squished against the back door, looked like he had been sleeping then woke up. It was pretty creepy. i tried to take a picture but didnt get a good one.

the first victims of survivor...i'm shocked that sugar believed kenny... i dont think that was their best move, Not sure how they plan to win challenges with a pinup model, computer game player, a supposed olympic athelete, and matty. Luckily for them it looked like the merge will happen next week. I'm not like corinne or randy...I would like to see them go next.

9 WORDS/PHRASES WOMEN USE

I got this in a forward today...thought it was all too true

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with Nothing usually end in Fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of Nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, so do not question or faint. Just say you're welcome. (This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'Whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying 'up yours'!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3

getting ready for halloween

we are finally getting ready for halloween, no costume party for us this year...i'm sad, especially seeing all the fun halloween pictures everyone has been posting. i'm excited to actually hand out candy this year. we closed on our house last year on halloween- but the neighborhood didnt really know we lived here so we only got a few trick or treaters, this year i am expecting alot more. we carved our pumpkin tonight and audrey has her devil costume all set. I went to buy the native american baby costume and they were all sold out, everywhere i looked. i'll post some pics of all the dogs and audrey on halloween. Audreys daycare is doing a parade too- so i will atleast get to go to that.

it snowed in PA today...we got about 1-2 inches this morning but by 5 most of it had melted away. i couldnt believe it though- it was so nice! i realized by living here how much i love and miss snow.

Hatfield = animals

so most people know we used to live in west bumf*k, NY....lived out in the country where you would *think* animals aplenty.... well we moved to the North suburbs of philadelphia and I didnt think we would encounter the zoo. This weekend we had two sightings/adventures. Reminder that a few months ago we had some groundhog fiascos and we saw a fox once in the woods...well saturday late morning we saw 3 deer slowly meandering behind our fence...pretty cool to see- nothing crazy there. but we never even saw deer in our yard in portville. so i was impressed. sighting #1
sighting #2 - sunday morning audrey woke us up at 7 ish. i fed her and was hoping she would fall back asleep...she didnt so at about 8:15 ryan got up and took her downstairs. I went back to bed. about 2 minutes after ryan left i heard our lovely poms barking in the backyard- no shock there. well then i heard murphy bark and the poms were getting more and more crazy with their barking. so i knew something was wrong. my first thought was oh great they got a squirrel. so i go into the bathroom and open the window to see whats going on. they are barking at a tree just outside the fence. Then i see a black tail and thought it was a squirrel, only then do i see the huge raccoon body attached to the tail. it was crawling down the tree (6 inches from the fence) towards the dogs. I go screaming down the stairs for ryan to go out and get the dogs. luckily ryan got the dogs to come inside and the raccoon went running off into the woods. I hope it wasnt rabid or that it comes back. it was atleast twice the size of linus.
I would have expected any of this where we used to live but not at our new house.

weekend

I have lots of fun pics from the weekend. Saturday evening we took a walk and there was a hot air balloon flying over our house.

I also got my license plate on my car- I have been noticing ALOT of pennsylvanians have these tacky airbrush plates...thank god becky got me this so now I can fit in :)

New Haircut

I got a new haircut and highlights today- i'm loving it... Audrey Loves it too :)

ipod nano

I got a cute new lime green ipod nano today...its a belated birthday present. Happy Birthday to me :)

Apples and Football

This weekend we went up to syracuse for the SU-Penn State Football game at the Dome. Syracuse was crushed. but it was cool to go to the dome for a football game, i had never been before. Only basketball games. it was soooo hot that day and i had only brought my new Syracuse sweatshirt. i think i was the only person in the whole dome in kelly green :) There were tons of penn state fans too. we sat in front of the most annoying people in the world- they were wearing orange and are season ticket holders but the bitched and moaned about the SU team from the second it started. Every play they made some comment on how bad or dumb the coaches, players were. I'm surprised they didnt complain about Ottos running technique. I wanted to turn around and ask them why the bother coming every week if they are just going to complain the whole time. And the woman sounded just like rachel dratch from SNL. ugh. Syracuse was losing so bad that by half time 90% of the student section was gone and ~50% of the rest of the stadium was cleared by the end of the third quarter. we left shortly after that too. Dennis Quaid and 2 other actors from the new movie 'the express' did the coin toss and a little speech at half time. that was cool.

Saturday morning before the game we went apple picking too. we got lots of apples and raspberries. Made me feel green :)

Audrey was wearing her bills outfit- however we couldn't watch the bills game here, so she cheers for the eagles too. they both won yesterday - So she was happy.

we got alot done this weekend- we put up alot of our organization stuff in the garage. i'm hoping to get our college beer fridge into the garage so our kitchen doesn't look like a dorm room anymore. we went and bought a new table/bench for our kitchen. we have one wall that was pretty bare and non-functional so we went to ikea and got a very nice table with drawers. and it stores our recyclable stuff too.














we spent our saturday night putting it together. then we watched 'the greatest game ever played' it was a golf movie with shia labeouf. it was pretty good. we didn't get everything done i wanted to but we did okay.

weight watchers

so i bit the bullet and finally went back to weight watchers wednesday night...besides my pregnant time- this is the most i have ever weighed in my life. so after a year of not counting points i have started again. I'm hoping it wont be as hard to lose weight as i feel its going to be :)

and what does my loving husband (of 4 years now) do to help support my new embarkment of weight loss? he buys 3-1/2 gallons of ice cream...while i am at my first ww meeting no less. in his defense he did buy me some ww ice cream bars - only 2 points each. and one of the 1/2 gallons was no sugar added.

On saturday we trekked over to NJ to see the ocean. the day was perfect- sunny and warm but not too too hot. I forgot how much fun the ocean is to swim in. i rode the waves, they smashed me into the sand over and over, got lots of saltwater in my eyes, ears, and mouth. it was awesome! We took audrey into the ocean just a teeny bit- after that video stopped ryan was sitting on the edge of the water still holding her and a big wave came and splashed audrey- she really started screaming then. she was so good other than that though. she slept the whole car ride home. We are definately going to the shore more often.

Backyard Baseball

Well last night we had some visitors from NJ and CO come over. Promptly after dinner Luca started asking everyone to play baseball with him. He had gotten a foam bat and ball to play with this week in NJ. Its so much nicer than the wiffle ball type kits I remember always playing with. The bat looked like a real wooden bat- but it was dense foam. very nice- i think everyone was impressed with it except murphy- who was struck by it accidentally :) Anyways it was fun night running around the backyard with Luca...and only 1 person stepped in poo.

the best line of the night was when luca told cath 'you can bat, cause thats the only thing you are good at'

Chicken BBQ

Hunts and Bakers - 2008

We took a trip to portville this weekend so that Audrey could meet all her family...or well vice versa I guess- because she probably wont remember this weekend. but anyways it was fun. Ryan and his dad did their famous chicken. all the family came over, lots of friends and their kids too. We gorged on chicken...sooo yummmy. Audrey was a popular hot potato- and we got lots of pictures with her.

sunday we got up early and ryan, his dad and I went and practiced shooting soda cans with ryans gun. my shot is not so good- but my thoughts are if someone was in my house to get me and i went to shoot them they would be bigger than a soda can so I would be alright. right???

i drove home yesterday- b/c ryan is working in NY until wednesday. met up with cath and mike at a reststop. we didnt get home until after 8pm last night...long trip :)

Overall it was a nice relaxing trip- the weather could have been more like philly- hot/humid/no rain....but i still got to swim and mananged a sunburn so i cant complain.

It was back to work for me this week...not fun. but the good side is i have next week off. we are heading up to binghamton to camp (in cabins) with the fam (minus becky) who has used all her vacation already... she'll come down for a night though.
ryans parents are down visiting and watching audrey for the week.

its been hard to get back to work- hard to concentrate on things for more than 10 minutes at a time. and the lack of sleep is getting to me- i had not functioned before 10 am in a long time- or worn socks. i had to drink a whole cup of coffee the first day and a soda...i had the caffine jitters. its getting easier though. i think i just need to adjust to less sleep.

This past weekend we went to my work picnic- it was alot of fun. ryan got to meet some of the people i work with. we got a family portrait taken, food, airbrush face painting, swimming, door prizes- (well i didnt win anything) but they were giving away xbox systems, laptops, nintendo DS, $100 gift cards...it was crazy. and we got to play bingo :) the best line was when we were leaving (*note: where i work is about 75% indian, dot not the feather) ryan said "i feel like we are in India"

my birthday weekend was alot of fun. sarah and junior came to visit with teagan. I took lots and lots of pictures- if you have a few hours here they are **warning: there are alot of just the babies**

this one is my favorite- it looks like teagan is trying to punch audrey















i got a facial and pedicure for my birthday present - which i went on saturday to get. the facial was pretty cool- i had never done one before. i learned i have alot of congestion in my pores. And need to use lotion every day. they used this cool powder sunscreen on me too- i want to find some of that to buy.

I had a dream last night about my blog...that i was told i have to update it...i take dreams pretty serious so i'm updating...

my birthday is coming up next week- Sarah and Jr are coming to visit for the weekend- should be a good time - they havent been since new years i dont think. it will be cool to see audrey and teagan together...not that audrey does much but cry and sleep but anyways...

i have no idea what i want for my birthday...(except i know i dont want a new computer monitor) any ideas?

July 4th weekend

Our guests just left from the holiday weekend...it will be an adjustment now not having a helping hand with the baby- she requires some 'hold me time' to fall asleep that having extra people really helps with, so you can do anything. And of course all the other work grammy did was very helpful. Her and Ryan were responsible for the garden and cleaning of the house. We actually didn't leave the house very much- but i had a very good time-
